wearable tech X LEGO Fashion show

At Tufts’ Center for Engineering Education Outreach, I created a project that incorporated art into STEM education. I was inspired by what first drew me to engineering: wearable technology. It incorporates sewing, circuit design, and coding while also being accessible to various ages depending on the complexity of the project.

piano pants

The Piano Pants are made from cream linen with white silk pockets. The grey squares on the front pocket are piano keys attached to a circuit hidden inside the same pockets with a mini speaker hanging from the belt loops. The electronics are completely detachable so that the pants are washable.

Constellation jacket

The Constellation Jacket is a standard bomber jacket by day, but at night, the back of the jacket illuminates with multiple constellations. The jacket is programmed so as daylight dwindles, more and more of the constellations alight.
